I read the Shack this summer. The author was on 100 Huntley Street (Christian program here in Canada) on Dec. 16th!! What an amazing interview it was. Do you know that when he looked for a publisher, every Christian publisher he went to denied him, said it was too secular. Every secular publisher said it was 'too Jesus'. I have heard that some Christians were discouraging others from reading this book, that it was too 'new age'. SIGH....How much they have missed out from reading this book.
isn't it awesome,,'He is especially fond of us?'..I loved that part..
Wow this is an amazing list!
I've been wanting to read "The Shack" after hearing lots of good things about it. Hopefully it will be on my list this year :0)
Wow! Great list! I need to read more, specifically His word.
Wanted to let you know I left a comment on the comment you left on Fearless Friday. I have added you to my Prayer Journal that I have specifically bought just for Fearless Fridays. ((hugs)) And thanks for praying and standing in the gap!!
Wow, Susanne, this is an impressive list! You have read many that I am wanting to read!
Holly, I know you have Muslim friends. Nabeel Jabbour's book "The Crescent Through the Eyes of the Cross" is EXCELLENT as is Carl Meaderis' book "Muslims, Christians, Jesus." I think you should read those to further understand your Muslim friends. :-)
Angela, I loved that part, too. It was so touching. :-)
Thanks, Susanne.
What did you think of the book Once An Arafat Man? I have heard that recommended.
Also - what about Epicenter and Standing with Israel? I'd love your sincere thoughts.
:)
