"Failure is just like success -- it's a day-to-day process, not someplace you arrive one day. Failure is not a one-time event. It's how you deal with life along the way. True, you will make mistakes, but you can't conclude that you're a failure until you breathe your last breath. Until then, you're still in the process, and there is still time to turn things around." (pg. 158)
"Success each day should be judged by the seeds sown, not the harvest reaped." (pg. 178)

Wow..both those are EXCELLENT QUOTES.
ESP THE SECOND ONE.
I think I will adopt it as my personal quote. =]
nice layout too.
-The Muslim Kid-
I like the quotes. I wonder why we so often feel pressure to only focus on the harvest and only feel successful when we have proof of one.
This is currently a huge struggle of mine.
MK, thank you. Great to see you here.
Carmen, maybe because we are a results-oriented society or we are impatient or both. Remember when Paul confronted the people who were dividing saying they were of Paul or Apollos or _______ or _______? Paul said, some plant, some water, but it is GOD who gives the increase. Maybe we think the results are up to US, therefore, when we see little in the way of progress, we get discouraged.
I read a while back about a missionary to Burma who worked there for years and years and years with like 10 conversions. But years after his death, most all Burmese Christians trace their spiritual roots back to the work he (Judson, I think) did among their people.
Oftentimes we don't see the results until much later, perhaps not until eternity. The thing to keep in mind is that God doesn't judge success by our numbers, but by our faithfulness. We plant the seeds and water, but the Holy Spirit works in people's hearts and lives to bring forth fruit.
Easier said than done, but I have to change my thinking to remember I only have to be faithful and obedient, not bring in the huge crowds.
Thanks for your comment. Enjoyed it as always.

Very true. He knows our intentions, our motives, and he sees our sowing and laboring. I think God is so much more compassionate than us humans are. :)
